Inclusion and Exclusion: literary Reverberations

Resumo: This article aims to discuss dimensions of inclusion and exclusion, in the context of literary studies. The first part of the article deals with a theoretical discussion that tries to problematize the concepts of inclusion and exclusion, from a transdisciplinary perspective, in order to verify how these questions are in line with the interests of literary studies. In the second part, the article illustrates this discussion, drawing on Doron Rabinovici’s novel Ohnehin and seeking to identify how inclusion and exclusion strategies are represented in this specific text. To conclude, the article identifies three key movements for the discussion of this question in literary studies: the strategies of character positioning, the dynamics of meaning management and the conditioning of perception.

La primera parte del artículo trata de una discusión teórica que intenta problematizar los conceptos de inclusión y exclusión, desde una perspectiva transdisciplinar, con el fin de verificar cómo estas preguntas están en consonancia con los intereses de los estudios literarios. En la segunda parte, el artículo ilustra esta discusión, basándose en la novela Ohnehin de Doron Rabinovici y buscando identificar cómo se representan las estrategias de inclusión y exclusión en este texto específico. Para concluir, el artículo identifica tres movimientos centrales para la discusión de este tema en los estudios literarios: las estrategias de posicionamiento del personaje, las dinámicas de manejo de significados y el condicionamiento de la percepción.Este artigo tem como objetivo refletir sobre dimensões de inclusão e exclusão, no contexto dos estudos literários. Na primeira parte do texto, o foco se volta para uma discussão teórica que busca problematizar os conceitos de inclusão e exclusão, a partir de uma perspectiva transdisciplinar, a fim de verificar como esses questionamentos se coadunam com os interesses dos estudos literários. Na segunda parte, o artigo ilustra a problematização, com base no romance Ohnehin, de Doron Rabinovici, buscando identificar as estratégias de inclusão e exclusão encenadas na realidade diegética desse texto específico.
