The United Nations 2030 Agenda proposes important goals and targets that were widely debated in what was the most extensive and participatory consultation process in the UN's history. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that make up the 2030 Agenda, even though they are “soft law”, have as their primary goals the eradication of poverty (SDG 1) and the elimination of hunger and malnutrition (SDG 2), which implies the interconnection of these objectives with the others and requires, among other prerogatives, responsible and sustainable consumption and production (SDG 12). Therefore, the equitable access of the entire Brazilian population to adequate food, in addition to observing the guidelines stipulated by the 2030 Agenda, is a fundamental right of all consumers provided for in Article 6 of the Federal Constitution of 1988 (CF/1988) and the 1990 Consumer Protection Code (CDC). The studies and investigations developed and partially transcribed in this article aim to analyse the interconnections between Agenda 2030 and Article 18 of the Consumer Protection Code (CDC) as Human Rights to be guaranteed.
