Resumo: The purpose of this article is to investigate the dimensions of a Higher Education Professor’s work from the theoretical contribution of Sociodiscursive Interactionism (ISD) (BRONCKART, 1999, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, MACHADO, 2007, 2009, 2013, CRISTOVÃO, 2008) in a dialogue with the principles of the Clinic of Activity (CLOT, 2007, 2010) and the Ergonomics of Activity (AMIGUES, 2004). This research seeks to investigate and analyze which dimensions of work are present in the type of teaching activity of a Pedagogy Professor at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) when teaching the discipline Textual Practices for a first-semester class and seeks to contribute to the creation of a teaching work concept by students based on academic, professional, and theoretical-practical knowledge, steering away from the concept of a teacher’s work as a vocation. Data generation was based on the monitoring of classes during an academic semester, during which field journals were prepared for further analysis. The results revealed that the teaching work is a complex and conflicting activity, in which different, closely connected interdependent dimensions are present.

The results revealed that the teaching work is a complex and conflicting activity, in which different, closely connected interdependent dimensions are present.O objetivo deste artigo é investigar as dimensões do trabalho de uma professora do ensino superior a partir do aporte teórico do Interacionismo Sociodiscursivo (ISD) (BRONCKART, 1999, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, MACHADO, 2007, 2009, 2013, CRISTOVÃO, 2008), em diálogo com princípios da Clínica da Atividade (CLOT, 2007, 2010) e da Ergonomia da Atividade (AMIGUES, 2004). A pesquisa empreendida visa investigar e analisar quais as dimensões de trabalho estão presentes no gênero da atividade docente de uma professora do curso de Licenciatura em Pedagogia da UFJF, ao ministrar a disciplina de Práticas Textuais em uma turma de primeiro período, e busca contribuir para a construção, pelos estudantes, de uma concepção de trabalho docente alicerçada em saberes acadêmicos, profissionais e teórico-práticos, distanciando-se da concepção de docência como vocação. A geração dos dados se deu a partir do acompanhamento das aulas em um semestre letivo, durante as quais eram elaborados diários de campo para posterior análise.
