Resumo: | This article aims to discuss the history of the Brazilian LGBTQIA+ Movement, from a historical and geographical point of view highlighting the socio-spatial and socio-territorial approach of this movement which is characterized as diverse and important to the history of the conflicts connected to the human rights and citizenship in Brazil. A discussion around the actions that have already been deployed by the socio-spatial movements of sexual diversity and gender was made, such as the LGBTQIA+ Parade, and also around a new classification of actions that were thought by different traditional movements, that have been nowadays incorporating the diversity thinking as an indispensable and fundamental element to its framework expansion and discussions with the subjects of these organizations. The questions and dialogues appear as a spark aiming at a geographical comprehension of the LGBTQIA+ movement which makes it possible to execute a real intellection between actions and policies carried out from the Brazilian socio-political context. To achieve our goals, we performed a socio-spatial and social-territorial analysis, emphasizing the geographical dimension of the conflicts that mediate and appropriate the space, starting from the body until the process of making effective public policies to reach citizenship enrollment of said people. To reach the proposed goal, we executed a bibliographic review underlining the historical, political, and geographical aspects of the first LGBTQIA+ organizations in Brazil. After, we organized a database and made maps of the actions taken by the socio-spatial and urban socio-territorial movements that are focused on sexual and gender diversity, and those who are not exclusively LGBTQIA+. It can be noted that in the last decades, the movements and groups that were founded first with other goals have been incorporating sexual diversity and gender discussion and elaborating a new range of definitions and dimensions to analyze the urban dispute, adding intersectionalities of concepts in their new configuration and organization. |
