Cartographic orientation: the experience of the route

Resumo: The purpose of this paper is to present the development and reflections about the Cartographic Orientation Workshop, given to students from an elementary school in São João del-Rei. This workshop was developed by undergraduates in Geography from Federal University of São João del-Rei (UFSJ), during an internship. Besides working according to the principles of cartography, the workshop provides a teaching situation in which the proposed route also constituted in an experimentation that could sensitizing the students in a non-representative form.The idea was to delineate new pathways: not only those that were revealed by the displacements, but also by the auto displacements, movements.

Essa Oficina foi desenvolvida por alunos da disciplina Estágio Supervisionado I, do Curso de Geografia, da Universidade Federal de São João del-Rei (UFSJ). Além de trabalhar a Orientação segundo os princípios da Cartografia, a Oficina procurou oferecer uma situação de ensino, em que o percurso proposto se constituía em uma experimentação capaz de sensibilizar os alunos de forma não representativa.
