Current geosystems and ancestral geosystems in Andrelândia, south of Minas Gerais: methodological approaches between the geosystemic approach and landscape archeology

Resumo: Landscape archeology appears as a current approach in contemporary archeology, aimed at understanding the spatial continuity of the archaeological record beyond the sites, which has brought Geography and Archeology closer together. This article aims to comparing and discussing the current and ancestral geosystems in Andrelândia (south of Minas Gerais), a spatiality that contains important and diversified archaeological records subject to regional correlation. Therefore, a dialogic approach was adopted between the geosystemic conception and the landscape archeology, resulting in the interpretation, classification and mapping of the current geosystems and the ancestral geosystemic units, defined from the archaeological remains existing in their relationship with the landscape. The geosystems were defined based on the relationships between the geological basis, relief, soils, vegetation cover and current land use, and served as a basis for the definition of geosites.

En este artículo, se asume el objetivo de comparar y discutir los geosistemas actuales y ancestrales de Andrelândia (sur de Minas Gerais), una espacialidad que contiene importantes y diversificados registros arqueológicos sujetos a correlación regional. Para ello, se adoptó un enfoque dialógico entre la concepción geosistémica y la arqueología del paisaje, dando como resultado la interpretación, clasificación y mapeo de los geosistemas actuales y las unidades geosistémicas ancestrales, definidas a partir de los restos arqueológicos existentes en su relación con el paisaje. . Los geosistemas se definieron a partir de las relaciones entre la base geológica, el relieve, los suelos, la cobertura vegetal y el uso actual del suelo, y sirvieron de base para la definición de los geositios.A arqueologia da paisagem figura como abordagem corrente na arqueologia contemporânea, voltada para a compreensão da continuidade espacial do registro arqueológico além dos sítios, o que tem colocado em aproximação a Geografia e a Arqueologia. No presente artigo, assume-se o objetivo de comparar e discutir os geossistemas atuais e ancestrais em Andrelândia (sul de Minas Gerais), espacialidade que contém importantes e diversificados registros arqueológicos passiveis de correlação regional. Para tanto, adotou-se uma abordagem dialógica entre a concepção geossistêmica e a arqueologia da paisagem, resultando na interpretação, classificação e cartografação dos geossistemas vigentes e das unidades geossistêmicas ancestrais, estas definidas a partir dos vestígios arqueológicos existentes em suas relações com a paisagem.
