Resumo: The constitution of the history of education is linked to the social, cultural and politicaltransformations that take place in society. Consequently, the history of early childhood educationand the history of educational institutions that were organized to serve this specific group are alsorelated to the changes that have taken place in the environment that welcomes them. Thus, the objectiveof this work was to know the history of childhood education on the border between Brazil andParaguay, reflecting on some particularities that constitute it and also make up the history of bordereducation. Through broader research, related to the development of the doctoral thesis “Trajectoriesof Training of Childhood Teachers on the Border of Ponta Porã/BR and Pedro Juan Caballero/PY”(SILVA, 2020) and the course conclusion work “Education for Childhood in the Border Context betweenPonta Porã (BR) and Pedro Juan Caballero (PY): Some Reflections” (RODRIGUES, 2021),in addition to bibliographic research supported by magazines and digital books, scientific articles,theses and dissertations that approached the thematic, we seek to understand how the countriespresented organized these educational spaces and how social and cultural relations influenced theirhistorical constitution. The results found showed few studies on the subject in this region, especiallywith regard to research and publications focused on the border of Ponta Porã (BR) and Pedro JuanCaballero (PY), thus evidencing the need to expand discussions on the subject. And expand therange of investigations and learning on the subject.

Consequentemente, a história da educação para a infância e a história das instituições educativas que se organizaram para atender a este grupo específico também se relacionam às mudanças ocorridas no meio que as acolhe. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho foi conhecer a história da educação para a infância na fronteira Brasil e Paraguai, refletindo sobre algumas particularidades que a constituem e também compõem a história da educação fronteiriça. Através de pesquisas mais amplas, relacionadas ao desenvolvimento da tese de doutorado “Trajetórias de Formação de Professoras da Infância na Fronteira de Ponta Porã/BR e Pedro Juan Caballero/PY” (SILVA, 2020) e do trabalho de conclusão de curso “A Educação para a Infância no Contexto Fronteiriço entre Ponta Porã (BR) e Pedro Juan Caballero (PY): Algumas Reflexões” (RODRIGUES, 2021), além de pesquisas bibliográficas respaldadas por revistas e livros digitais, artigos científicos, teses e dissertações que se aproximaram da temática, buscamos compreender como ospaíses apresentados organizaram esses espaços educativos e como as relações sociais e culturais influenciaram a constituição histórica das mesmas.
