Resumo: This paper presents a translation of the beginning of Aeneid's Book IV along with notes and comments. In the excerpt, Dido tells her sister that she fell in love with Aeneas, and Anna encourages her into a marriage bond with the Trojan hero. The translation follows a metric parameter of proportionality that was adopted for the transposition of the hexameters into decasyllables.
