Resumo: At the beginning of this century, a political cycle was inaugurated characterized by a strong influence of political parties and their link with social movements. Thus, this research presents a panoramic analysis of the political behavior and the incidence of these actors in the decision-making processes and the relations they maintained between themselves and, in turn, with the governments of the region. The set of interactions between political forces that acceded to the government and social movements account for the way in which Latin American political reality has been shaped. The cases of Brazil, Bolivia, and Argentina constitute witness cases of the institutionalist, rupturist and intermediate pathways of political transformation.
