Infrastructure index of Roraima state high schools and the territorial inequalities

Resumo: The infrastructure of Brazilian schools is still a relevant factor in the school's effect on student performance and this condition is strongly influenced by the location of schools. In this context, this article aimed to characterize the infrastructure of high schools in the Roraima State Public Teaching Network, through a school infrastructure indicator. For this, an exploratory analysis of the data from the 2019 School Census was carried out, using descriptive statistics and principal component analysis. Data were related to the location of schools, allowing the establishment of a classification among the four regions defined in the research. The results obtained on school infrastructure made it possible to relate the challenges and demands prescribed by the legal guidelines for the New High School, as they inform about the inequality and inequity existing in the Roraima State Public Teaching Network.

En este contexto, este artículo tuvo como objetivo caracterizar la infraestructura de las escuelas secundarias en la Red de Educación Pública Estatal de Roraima, a través de un indicador de infraestructura escolar. Para ello, se realizó un análisis exploratorio de los datos del Censo Escolar de 2019, utilizando estadística descriptiva y análisis de componentes principales. Los datos se relacionaron con la ubicación de las escuelas, lo que permitió establecer una clasificación entre las cuatro regiones definidas en el estudio. Los resultados obtenidos sobre infraestructura escolar permitieron relacionar los desafíos y demandas que prescriben los lineamientos legales para el Nuevo Bachillerato, ya que informan sobre la desigualdad e inequidad existente en la Red Pública Estatal de Enseñanza de Roraima.A infraestrutura das escolas brasileiras ainda é um fator relevante no efeito da escola sobre o desempenho dos estudantes e essa condição é fortemente influenciada pela localização das escolas. Nesse contexto, este artigo objetivou caracterizar a infraestrutura das escolas de ensino médio da Rede Pública Estadual de Ensino de Roraima, por meio de um indicador de infraestrutura escolar. Para isso, foi realizada uma análise exploratória dos dados do Censo Escolar 2019, utilizando estatística descritiva e análise de componentes principais. Os dados foram relacionados com a localização das escolas, permitindo o estabelecimento de uma classificação entre as quatro regiões definidas no estudo.
