Resumo: This text proposes a reading of some excerts of the novels Leucippe and Clitophon, by Achilles Tatius, and An Ethiopian Story, by Heliodorus, in order to highlight the breaking of the old borders among love and war, female and male. The love, associated to the female in many texts as something negative, becomes something positive in these novels, associated to the capacities of narrative, emulation and interpretation of works of art.
