Resumo: This work aims to analyze the short story “Boca de lobo”, narrative that opens Flor de gume (2020a), the first published book author Monique Malcher, from Pará, which won the Jabuti Prize in 2021. A female child voices the narrative that takes the reader on a boat ride through the muddy and agitated rivers of the Amazon region, in an attempt to discover one’s own identity. Thefore, this research is relevant because it brings to the discussion a short story that show the experience of a riverside child, in addition to giving visibility to an author from Brazilian North who has gained prominence in the most recent Brazilian literary scene. Firstly, this study seeks to discuss about the theoretical contributions of the areas of memory and literature and, then analyze the narrative. The results show how the following aspects manifest themselves: the self-recognition of the narrator, the memories trigged by her and the imbalanced relations between the world of children and adults.

A narrativa é conduzida por uma voz feminina infantil que leva o leitor a um passeio de barco pelos rios barrentos e agitados da região amazônica, em uma tentativa de se descobrir a sua própria identidade. Por isso, este estudo se mostra relevante pelo fato de trazer para a discussão um conto que apresenta em seu enredo a vivência de uma criança ribeirinha, além de dar visibilidade a uma autora nortista que tem ganhado destaque no cenário literário brasileiro mais recente. Primeiramente, a pesquisa discute acerca das contribuições teóricas das áreas da memória e da literatura, para depois analisar a narrativa.
