Since, in the organizations the most important thing is information and having in mind that it is rare the process or activity which does not need it, it was sought, through the electronic historical and/or in the role of the organization, to analyze the current situation of the Documents Cicle of Magneti Marelli Cofap – Lavras, a situation where it is clear the necessity of having the information of the Engineering Department always available, updated and controlled. One other analyzed issue refers to the period of expectations after the implementation of the Electronic Documents Management, a period when it is expected to be possible: the control of version of documents, elimination of paper documents consultation, aggrandizement of the availability of information, reductions of paper costs, reductions of time spent in the distribution and seeking of information, reduction of loss, reduction in the quantity of mistakes, reduction of re-work, smaller necessity of workmanship, certainty that the updated information will be available simultaneously and reduction of costs in the Documents Process.
