Resumo: The present work aims to present a study about the exploitation of child labor, especially its occurrence in Brazilian soccer, presenting, initially, general data about the issue, in the world and in Brazil, as well as a brief history about the theme in Brazil. In addition, it is important to present the legislation regarding the subject, for this it is analyzed the children and adolescents’ rights in several diplomas. Moving foward, focusing on soccer, in the third part of the paper, it is discussed about the treatment accorded to it over the years in Brazilian legislation, its principles and the spectacle of which it forms part. Finally, it is presented the reality experienced by children and adolescents who seek the dream of becoming a professional soccer player.

Finally, it is presented the reality experienced by children and adolescents who seek the dream of becoming a professional soccer player.O presente trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar um estudo acerca da exploração do trabalho infantil, em especial, de sua ocorrência no futebol brasileiro, apresentando, inicialmente, dados gerais sobre a questão, no mundo e no Brasil, além de realizar um breve histórico sobre o tema no Brasil. Para além disto, faz-se importante a apresentação da legislação referente ao assunto, para tanto são analisados os direitos das crianças e adolescentes presentes nos mais variados diplomas. Avançando, tendo como foco o futebol, discorre-se, na terceira parte do trabalho, sobre o tratamento conferido à este ao longo dos anos na legislação brasileira, seus princípios e o espetáculo do qual este faz parte.
