Resumo: This paper aims to present a list of activities that can be developed by Library Assistants and Library Technicians, since there are few publications that address this topic. This research is characterized as descriptive and applied. The data collection was done through bibliographic research. It was decided to present the activities of Library Assistants and Library Technicians in accordance to the division of activities suggested by the Brazilian Classification of Occupations (CBO), adding a new group, called "Others", for services provided by libraries that are not mentioned by CBO but are supported by the literature of the area. The conclusion is that the literature is consistent with the CBO proposals, describing the activities of Library Assistants and Library Technicians, with relevant information that can be used as a library management tool for the distribution of routines / tasks and people management. It is important to mention that all activities of these professionals should be accompanied by librarians, as mentioned in the Brazilian legislation.

It is important to mention that all activities of these professionals should be accompanied by librarians, as mentioned in the Brazilian legislation.Este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar um rol de atividades passíveis de serem desenvolvidas por Auxiliares de Biblioteca e Técnicos em Biblioteconomia, visto serem escassas as publicações que tratam sobre o tema. Esta pesquisa caracteriza-se como descritiva e aplicada. O levantamento de dados foi por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica. Optou-se por apresentar as atividades dos Auxiliares de Biblioteca e dos Técnico em Biblioteconomia conforme previsto na divisão de atividades sugeridas pela Classificação Brasileira de Ocupações (CBO), acrescentando um novo grupo, denominado de “Outros", para os serviços prestados pelas bibliotecas não citados nas atividades mencionados pela CBO, amparados pela literatura da área. Conclui-se que a literatura vai ao encontro do que propôs a CBO, descrevendo as atividades dos Auxiliares de Biblioteca e Técnicos em Biblioteconomia, com informações relevantes que podem ser utilizadas como norte para a administração de biblioteca, quanto à distribuição de rotinas/tarefas e gestão de pessoas.
