Em 1997, foram alocadas 30 parcelas na área de estudo, com delineamento em blocos casualizados, nas quais foram instalados dez tratamentos com três repetições: remoção de 50%, 60%, 70% e 80% da área basal, envolvendo redução e acréscimo de 20% no valor original do quociente de De Liocurt; corte raso e testemunha. Antes da implantação dos tratamentos, foi realizado um levantamento, a fim de conhecer a vegetação original e, em 2004 e 2008, novos levantamentos foram realizados. A similaridade entre a composição florística antes e após a instalação dos tratamentos foi avaliada por meio dos índices de Sorensen e Bray-Curtis. Obteve-se a diversidade florística pelo índice de Shannon e equabilidade de Pielou, que foram comparados entre os levantamentos pelo teste de Hutcheson e T-pareado, respectivamente. Foram calculados os parâmetros para a análise estrutural, por espécie em cada tratamento e realizada a distribuição diamétrica, que foi testada por Kolmogorov-Smirnov. Estimaram-se o volume, o peso seco e o carbono que, juntamente, com o número de indivíduos e área basal, foram analisados quanto à ocorrência de modificações ao longo do tempo, por meio do teste T-pareado. Verificou-se que as intervenções em área de cerrado, seja corte seletivo ou corte raso, provocaram alterações na composição florística e diversidade da vegetação. No entanto, essas alterações também foram verificadas na testemunha, ou seja, áreas onde não foi efetuado nenhum tipo de corte. Constatou-se ainda que, onze anos após as intervenções, a vegetação foi capaz de manter um conjunto de espécies representativas semelhante à população anterior aos cortes, manter o padrão de exponencial negativo para a distribuição diamétrica e recuperar o número de indivíduos, área basal, volume, peso seco e carbono, independentemente do nível de intervenção.The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of different sustainable management system in the floristic composition, diversity, structure, basal area, number of individuals, volume, dry weight and carbon content of the vegetation of cerrado sensu stricto, located in Brasilândia de Minas (MG), eleven years after the interventions. In 1997 an experiment was deployed in the study area containing 30 plots in a randomized block design, in which were installed in ten treatments with three replicates: removal of 50%, 60%, 70% and 80% of basal area involving reduction and an increase of 20% in the value of the ratio of De Liocourt; clearcutting and control. Before the implementation of the treatments a survey was employed to ascertain the original vegetation and, in 2004 and 2008 new surveys were conducted. The similarity between the floristic composition before and after the installation of the treatments was evaluated by using indexes of Sorenson and Bray-Curtis. The diversity was obtained by Shannon´s index and Pielou´s equability index, and compared between the surveys by means of the Hutcheson and the paired T-test, respectively. Parameters were calculated for the structural analysis of each species in each treatment and the diameter distribution was made and compared between surveys through Kolmogorov-Smirnov´s test. The estimated volume, dry weight and carbon, together with the number of individuals and basal area, were analyzed for the occurrence of changes over time by means of the paired T-test. It was found that the interventions in cerrado, logging or clearcutting, caused changes in floristic composition and diversity of vegetation. However, these changes were also observed in areas where any kind of cut was done.
