Nesse sentido, este trabalho é dividido em três seções: 1) No primeiro capítulo é apresentada uma revisão da literatura que aborda a dinâmica de comunidades florestais e formas de amostragem da vegetação. 2) No segundo capítulo é apresentado um estudo sobre a dinâmica da comunidade florestal de um fragmento de Cerrado Sensu Stricto na região norte de Minas Gerais. Os dados foram obtidos a partir de dois inventários realizados em parcelas permanentes em 2005 e em 2010. Avaliou-se a ocorrência de alterações estruturais e florísticas na comunidade entre os inventários e foram calculadas as taxas de dinâmica. Após o período de cinco anos, observou-se que houve expansão em densidade e área basal. Não foram verificadas grandes alterações na composição florística, na riqueza e na diversidade da área. As taxas anuais de mortalidade e recrutamento e o incremento diamétrico anual médio foram relativamente baixos. Os padrões apresentados em relação às taxas da dinâmica e as alterações estruturais observadas indicam que o fragmento apresenta-se em formação, porém em fase de desaceleração de sua dinâmica. O fragmento estudado mostra-se pouco perturbado, em estágio avançado de regeneração. 3) O terceiro capítulo objetivou comparar os desempenhos dos estimadores da Amostragem Sistemática (AS) e da Amostragem Sistemática Estratificada (ASE) para estimativa de volume do mesmo fragmento de Cerrado Sensu Stricto em Bocaiúva, MG. Também foi verificada a viabilidade de se reduzir a intensidade amostral, mediante a estratificação, para o estudo da volumetria, da fitossociologia e da dinâmica do fragmento. Foram utilizados os mesmos dados do capítulo 2. O fragmento estudado foi estratificado com base em imagens de satélite da série LandSat 5 TM. Os procedimentos amostrais utilizados foram comparados pelo erro (%) de estimativa de volume. Posteriormente, foram realizadas 100 simulações de redução do tamanho da amostra em 50% (12 parcelas). Para cada amostra simulada, foram feitas estimativas de volume, dos parâmetros da estrutura horizontal e da dinâmica. Verificou-se que a ASE foi mais precisa que a AS. A redução da intensidade amostral em função da estratificação mostrou-se viável, possibilitando estimativas de volume, dos parâmetros estruturais e da dinâmica do fragmento, semelhantes às estimativas obtidas com a amostra original.Brazil has a vast forest heritage that needs to be better known in order to create strategies for their conservation and sustainable use of forest resources. Thus, this work is divided into three sections: 1) The first chapter presents a review of the literature addressing the dynamics of forest communities and forms of vegetation sampling. 2) The second chapter presents a study on the community dynamics of a fragment of Cerrado sensu stricto in the north region of Minas Gerais. Data were obtained from two surveys conducted in permanent plots in 2005 and 2010. We evaluated the occurrence of changes in community structure and species composition between inventories and rates were calculated dynamics. After a period of five years, it was observed that there was increase in density and basal area. No were observed major changes in the floristic composition, richness and diversity of the area. The annual rates of mortality and recruitment, and average annual diameter increment were relatively lows. The standards presented in relation to the fees of the dynamics and structural changes indicate that the fragment is presented in training, but slowing down its dynamics. The fragment studied appears to be little disturbed, in an advanced stage of regeneration. The third chapter was to compare the performances of the estimators of Systematic Sampling (AS) and Stratified Systematic Sampling (ASE) to estimate the volume of the same fragment of Cerrado sensu stricto Bocaiúva, MG. We also observed the viability of reducing the sampling intensity, by stratifying the population, for the study of volume, of floristic and the dynamics of fragment. We used the same data in Chapter 2. The fragment studied was stratified based on satellite images from LandSat 5 TM series. The sampling procedures used were compared by error (%) estimation of volume. Subsequently, 100 simulations were performed to reduce the sample size by 50% (12 plots). For each simulated sample, we estimated volume, the parameters of the horizontal structure and dynamics. It was found that the ASE was more accurate than the AS.
