Resumo: The objective of the work is to analyze dialogues allowed by the film Wall-E to understand Critical Environmental Education (EAC) from an educational practice fulfilled with undergraduate students in Biological Sciences at UFLA. After showing the film, the students discussed and they wrote down the questions they noticed to understand the EAC. The statements were categorized using the Content Analysis Method. We conclude by the formulated categories that the work helped to build knowledge and reflections on contemporary themes which the film speaks about openly or for its gaps. We also consider the importance of animations, as they act as cracks for understanding reality in a playful and thought-provoking way, which can be applied in class to problematize environmental issues.

Após exibição do filme foi realizada uma discussão, em que os discentes compartilharam suas respostas referentes à compreensão da EAC presente no filme. As falas foram categorizadas via Método da Análise de Conteúdo. Concluímos pelas categorias formuladas que a obra ajudou para construção de saberes e reflexões sobre temáticas contemporâneas as quais o filme fala abertamente ou por suas lacunas.
