In this work is carried out the preprocessing of data in a virtual learning environment which identifies learning profiles in an online course. The virtual environment in question is the Moodle environment, which has resources and activities that enable the creation and implementation of online courses. Shown is the planning, creation and implementation of a preparatory course for the Brazilian Informatics Olympiad. The characteristics of current are shown in which has the same format and simulated video lessons regarding viewed content. The preparatory course is available online and applied in two schools of Lavras in the Moodle environment stored information related to users activities on this course. It will show the use of data mining techniques to analyze educational information stored in the Moodle database. We performed a thorough analysis of the information stored in the database, representing the steps taken and the refinement process to obtain a single table, which is the result of the pre-processing of data. Such a table is called table summarization and contains summary information regarding the activities carried out during the course. The resulting data will then represent the entire process of analysis and refinement of information, so that such data can be used to assess learning and identifying the learning profiles present in an online course in preparation for the Olympiad of Informatics.
