The consummation of decadence in the contemporaneity

Resumo: This article initially brings a compilation of the results of analyzes and reflections of the research we carried out on the theme of decadence (Verfallen), based on the thought of the German philosopher Martin Heidegger. We present this concept as a fundamental issue for overcoming metaphysics in the Heideggerian conception, we highlight the historical antecedents that would have led Heidegger to create the concept of decadence; the record of the emergence of this concept in his philosophy and, finally, we make a cut of fundamental passages of philosophy and sciences, in order to characterize the consummation of decadence in contemporaneity.
