Resumo: The article, from an interdisciplinary perspective, considers education as social phenomenon in its relationship with political economy, historical and pedagogical processes. The text aims to problematize implications of the School of Choice as the socialization of individuals through the Third Way as a supposed way out of the crisis of current capitalism. The search for expansion and profit based on harassment for results, on the school's salvationist belief in active citizenship in the significant articulation of social and human capital, disqualifies the teaching profession and compromises critical education. School of Choice consolidates pedagogical practices (content/methods/ management) that are organic to the Third Way neoliberal logic through the naturalization and formation of a consensus on the values ​​of the business community in full-time education. In this context of the productive restructuring of capital, the new requirements for human formation de-characterize public and free education as emancipatory and the overcoming of capitalism.

A busca por expansão e lucro baseada no assédio por resultados, na crença salvacionista da escola para a cidadania ativa na articulação significativa de capital social e humano desqualificam o magistério e comprometem a educação crítica e reflexiva. A Escola da Escolha consolida práticas pedagógicas (conteúdos, métodos e gestão) orgânicas à lógica do neoliberal de Terceira Via através da naturalização e formação do consenso dos valores do empresariado na educação em tempo integral.
