Resumo: The present study, entitled “The Continued Benefit of Benefit of Supply in São Luís: a right in (de) construction”, has as its object the historical trajectory of the BPC and its influences on the formation of the beneficiary's income. Part of a critical analysis of Social Assistance Policy as a component of Brazilian social security and the process of institutionalization of BPC within SUAS, highlighting its operationalization and its challenges in the face of the ongoing conservative reforms. It configures the municipality of São Luís based on social indicators and attendance to BPC beneficiaries through CRAS. Developing a bibliographical study, documentary and field research, and giving "voice" to the beneficiaries, presents the influences of the BPC on the formation of the income of the beneficiary, based on the interviewees' statements, that despite the contradictory nature and the negligible monetary value, the resources of the BPC are indispensable for the survival of the beneficiary families.

Parte de uma análise crítica da Política de Assistência Social como componente da seguridade social brasileira e do processo de institucionalização do BPC no interior do SUAS, destacando sua operacionalização e seus desafios frente às reformas conservadoras em curso. Configura o município de São Luís a partir dos indicadores sociais e o atendimento aos beneficiários do BPC através do CRAS.
