Resumo: On March 11, 2020, Covid-19 was characterized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a pandemic. Instituted on an emergency and immediate basis, remote work was implemented at the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology (IFs), the field of activity of Administrative Education Technicians (TAEs). The work of this category is essentially characterized by administrative and operational routines that support teaching activities. During the pandemic period, in which remote work was a priority, TAE employees, who were already experiencing multiple working hours, suffered the impact of the unequal socio-sexual division of work in the domestic space. In this study, the Quality of Life construct was adopted as the individual's own perception of their position in life in the context of the culture and value system in which they live and in relation to their objectives, expectations, standards and concerns, with work being determining factor in Quality of Life. The main objective of this research was to analyze the impact of remote work on the quality of life of Technical-Administrative Education employees at IFMA. We sought to identify the main factors that compromised and/or protected the health of employees after the adoption of remote work, in addition to describing the conditions and organization of work and outlining the activities carried out by employees during that period of the Covid-19 pandemic. between 2020 and 2021. Regarding objectives, the research is exploratory and also descriptive. Of an applied nature, using a quantitative-quali approach, it has a case study design. Data collection was carried out through the application of the adapted WHOQOL-bref, plus a complementary questionnaire to survey the socio demographic and professional profile in an online format. Data analysis was carried out using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), version 20, using historical-dialectical materialism as an epistemological basis for understanding, interpreting and analyzing the data obtained. One hundred (100) female employees participated in the study. Among the activities carried out by the participants, virtual meetings and assistance to students, staff and family members via telephone and application messages predominated. The general quality of life was rated as fair, bad and very bad by 58% of the TAEs. Those who perceived their QoL as good and very good accounted for 41%. As for their health, 47% of the servers rated it as good and very good, being satisfied. However, 52% of participants considered their health to be regular, bad or very bad during the period of remote work. There was greater impairment of QoL in the physical domain (2.85) and in the psychological domain (3.08). The social relations (3.33) and environment (3.12) domains had a regular rating. The perception of the TAEs' working conditions and socio-professional relationships was considered regular (3.08). There was greater impairment in the physical and psychological domains among participants who spent more time on domestic and care activities and the need to reconcile paid work. However, for them the element that most favored QoL was the greater availability of time to spend time with their children and family. In turn, availability for work beyond the established daily workload and the experience of negative feelings or illness were identified as factors that negatively impacted QoL. It is concluded that remote work in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic proved to be of an ambiguous nature, whose flexibility enabled experiences that contributed to the quality of life of TAEs, on the other hand, it caused physical and mental overload, resulting from the multiple working hours, which compromised all areas of QoL.

Participaram do estudo 100 (cem) servidoras. No. of bitstreams: 1 DISSERTACAO_DAYSE_ARAUJO.pdf: 1341253 bytes, checksum: 92f8c4d4a83b040b720b477ecaa933ed (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2024-05-02T11:43:25Z (GMT). description On March 11, 2020, Covid-19 was characterized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a pandemic.
