Resumo: | The present research aims to reflect on Children's Science Fiction, with emphasis on the work Os Passageiros do futuro, by Wilson Rocha. In this way, it is intended to carry out a critical literary analysis of the main character, Delon, as well as the elements of the devastated land, futuristic city and the robot, observing how the writer Wilson Rocha reflected on such current issues related to the excessive use of technologies, such as affects the lives of children and adolescents, destroys the environment, harms interpersonal relationships, puts technological inventions above people's lives. Presenting these aspects through a narrative that takes place in a futuristic reality, more specifically in the year 3000. As theoretical support, this research has contributions from authors in the field of children's literature, such as Coelho (2000); Lajolo and Zilberman (1988) and Gouvêa (2000); Science Fiction (SF) theoretical and literary writers such as Ginway (2005); Causo (2003), Wolfe (2016) and Araújo (2014); and with writers dealing with the characteristics of adolescent development, including the influence of technology, such as Hall (1904), Godoy (2018) and Sousa Filho (2020). As partial results, it is possible to point out that the main character, Delon, reflects what many children and young people have been experiencing due to the influence at an earlier age in their daily lives. Delon, like many teenagers today, shows impatience and irritability when he has to live with the technological delays of the 20th century, revealing himself to be homesick for the comfort that technology allowed him in the year 3000. On the other hand, his fascination with nature still preserved in 1987 brings him a certain sadness to remember that in the 30th century it will only be desert, and he comes to the conclusion that contact with the environment makes people more sociable, healthier, something rare in their time, when both children and adults are serious and extremely regulated individuals. Other characters that also lead to reflection on the human relationship with technology are the Big Bubble and Log robots, which demonstrate two characteristics of this relationship: in the character of Log, the human being receptive to technological advances is reflected, accepting them as a natural reality; and with the Big Bubble the tendency to place technology as superior to its creator (man). |

No. of bitstreams: 1 Keesia_Rafaelle.pdf: 874755 bytes, checksum: c2d7167b670ccfc7a9678981c4fb6a6c (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2023-06-13T14:18:49Z (GMT).
