Resumo: This paper aims to analyze the development of scientific ideas in the science communication book addressed to children "Isaac no Mundo das Partículas" written by Elika Takimoto. To do so, we start from the contributions of Historical-Cultural Psychology and Vygotsky on potential, spontaneous and scientific concepts, seeking to understand the relationships and forms of meaning of the scientific ideas presented by the work. Excerpts from the book where words or key ideas that make references to physical concepts were selected and the concepts used more frequently were analyzed, namely Atoms, Particles and Vacuum. Considering the word as a unit of analysis, the results indicated that the book mobilizes different meanings and conceptual structures to formalize more complex elaborations and contemporary scientific concepts.

Partimos das contribuições da psicologia histórico-cultural sobre os conceitos potenciais, espontâneos e científicos, buscando compreender as relações e formas de significação das ideias científicas apresentadas pela obra. Foram selecionados e analisados trechos do livro no qual conceitos científicos ou ideias-chave estavam presentes. A palavra foi considerada a unidade de análise e os resultados indicaram que o livro mobiliza diversas significações e estruturações lógico-abstratas (conceituais) para formalizar elaborações mais complexas e conceitos científicos.
