Resumo: The text articulates stylistic analysis and narrative study of the film O Ébrio (1946) by Gilda de Abreu as compositional factors of his formal system (Bordwell; Thompson, 2013). Intertwining the technical procedures recurring to certain narrative choices, the article seeks to assess the role played by staging and assembly in O ébrio’ style and the construction of dramatic meanings of the diegesis.
