Resumo: This essay establishes some reflective links with the Project BORDER (2022), an online installation by the artist Rubiane Maia, derived from her journey through the border region between the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo. Here, we seek to capture the ways of doing that culminate less in the creation of a work than in the affirmation of the crossing as a work that establishes ways of existence. Ways that allow you to feel attracted to approach Maia’s experience in (re)establishing a relationship of contact and fusion with this territorial borderland, in order to unveil and re-signify the numerous layers of your individual and social history, which hover in this ‘in-between lands’.

Aquí, buscamos capturar los modos de hacer que culminan menos en la creación de una obra que en la afirmación de la travesía como un trabajo de instauración de modos de existencia. Modos que permiten sentirse atraído a acercarse a la experiencia de Maia de (re)establecer una relación de contacto y fusión con esta tierra territorial fronteriza, para desvelar y resignificar las numerosas capas de su historia individual y social, que flotan en estas “tierras intermedias”.Neste ensaio são estabelecidos alguns enlaces reflexivos junto ao Projeto DIVISA (2022), instalação online da artista Rubiane Maia, derivada de sua jornada pela região da divisa entre os estados de Minas Gerais e Espírito Santo. Busca-se, aqui, captar os modos de um fazer que culmina menos na criação de uma obra do que na afirmação da travessia como trabalho instaurador de modos de existência.
