Resumo: The purpose of this article was to discuss how the city of Ponta Grossa was represented in the “Album de Ponta Grossa” produced by the municipal initiative in 1936. The album in question was the result of a joint action between municipal entities and figures linked to the government field that sponsored the same as a way of celebrating the history of the city, so a series of portraits linked to various fields were used, namely: industrial, urban, school, sports, military, etc. It is understood that the album in question is an important source to reflect the discourse constructed by the political elite of the period about Ponta Grossa and to analyze which visual memory they sought to monumentalize.

El álbum en cuestión fue el resultado de una acción conjunta entre entidades y figuras municipales. vinculado al campo gubernamental que patrocinó lo mismo como una forma de celebrar la historia de la ciudad, por lo que se utilizaron una serie de retratos vinculados a diversos campos, a saber: industrial, urbano, escolar, deportivo, militar, etc. Se entiende que El álbum en cuestión es una fuente importante para reflejar el discurso construido por la élite política de la época sobre Ponta Grossa y para analizar qué memoria visual trataron de monumentalizar.  O objetivo do presente artigo foi problematizar a forma como a cidade de Ponta Grossa foi representada no “Album de Ponta Grossa” produzido pela iniciativa municipal no ano de 1936.
