Resumo: | The city is a great image archive of the memories and identities that occupy and transform this space. In addition to an immutable and eternal archive, it is a space of communication in constant change. However, its power to speak visually about feelings, perceptions and social, economic and cultural events lies in the fact that, despite its ephemerality, it is directly inserted in the daily life of its viewers. Graphite is directly related to this logic. It is not only a form of expression, but also a socio-cultural practice that engages its producers and its audience to think about urban space in new ways. In this sense, this work proposes an exploration of graphite as a source of knowledge about the subjects that produce and observe it, based on the understanding of the cultural signs that are mobilized in this expression. |

Graffiti as a cultural memory:: a public identity file to be exploredEl graffiti como memoria cultural:: un archivo de identidad pública por explorarGrafite enquanto memória cultural:: um arquivo público identitário a ser exploradoThe city is a great image archive of the memories and identities that occupy and transform this space.
