THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE TRANSFORMATIONS OF LEISURE SPACES RESULTING FROM SPORTS MEGA EVENTS AND THE HUMANIZATION OF CITIES

Resumo: The text proposal is to diagnose the transformations of the host cities of the South region in order to identify the changes that have occurred in the spaces and leisure and sports equipment. The spaces studied were the surroundings of the headquarters stadiums of Curitiba and Porto Alegre. We interviewed 55 guests from the delimited spaces and two managers. The main changes that took place in the leisure spaces around the host stadiums were the renovation of the Afonso Botelho square in Curitiba and the improvements that took place in the Marinha do Brasil park in Porto Alegre. However, it was noticed that the biggest concern was with the spectacle of the Soccer World Cup, trying to showcase a showcase of host cities. Games can be a pretext to improve the cities. However, legacies need to be well designed to maximize the quality and benefits for cities. But in the case of the cities studied, many of the projects were being planned and restructured as the Football World Cup approached.

Los espacios estudiados fueron el entorno de los estadios-sede de Curitiba y de Porto Alegre. Se entrevistaron a 55 frecuentadores de los espacios delimitados y dos gestores. Los principales cambios que ocurrieron en los espacios de ocio en el entorno de los estadios-sede fue la reforma de la plaza Afonso Botelho, en Curitiba, y las mejoras que ocurrieron en el parque Marinha do Brasil, en Porto Alegre. Sin embargo, se percibió que la preocupación mayor fue con el espectáculo de la Copa del Mundo de Fútbol, intentando mostrar una vitrina de las ciudades-sede. Los juegos pueden ser un pretexto para mejorar las ciudades. Sin embargo, los legados necesitan estar bien planeados para maximizar la calidad y los beneficios para las ciudades. Pero en el caso de las ciudades estudiadas, muchos de los proyectos fueron siendo planificados y reestructurados en la medida en que la Copa del Mundo de Fútbol de aproximación.A proposta do texto é diagnosticar as transformações das cidades-sede da região Sul a fim de identificar as mudanças ocorridas nos espaços e equipamentos de lazer e esporte. Os espaços estudados foram o entorno dos estádios-sede de Curitiba e de Porto Alegre. Foram entrevistados 55 frequentadores dos espaços delimitados e dois gestores. As principais mudanças que ocorreram nos espaços de lazer no entorno dos estádios-sede foi a reforma da praça Afonso Botelho, em Curitiba, e as melhorias que ocorreram no parque Marinha do Brasil, em Porto Alegre. Todavia, percebeu-se que a preocupação maior foi com o espetáculo da Copa do Mundo de Futebol, tentando mostrar uma vitrine das cidades-sede. Os jogos podem ser um pretexto para melhorar as cidades. Todavia, os legados necessitam ser bem planejados para maximizar a qualidade e os benefícios para as cidades.
