LEISURE AND TOURISM INTERFACE: THE POINT OF VIEW OF SPANISH LECTURERS

Resumo: The varied understandings regarding the leisure and tourism interface are due to the scarcity of scientific investigations that deepen the relations between both. This situation instigated the interest in investigating how this issue is treated in Spain. Thus, the present article sought to understand the meanings and the relations between tourism and leisure according to the point of view of Spanish researchers. The methodology involved a bibliographic study and questionnaire application with 32 researchers inserted in leisure and / or tourism as fields of study, linked to different Spanish universities. Considering the interface between leisure and tourism, no researcher understands that they are distinct and independent, or that tourism is broader and includes leisure. Half of the researchers say that leisure is broader and includes tourism, and 15 people consider that the two phenomena are articulated and have points of intersection. The Spanish researchers who participated in the research, as well as the bibliographical research, tend to consider leisure as a more comprehensive field, and tourism as one of the modalities of experiencing it.

Así, el presente artículo buscó comprender los significados y las relaciones entre el turismo y el ocio según el punto de vista de investigadores españoles. La metodología involucró un estudio bibliográfico y aplicación de cuestionario con 32 investigadores del ocio y / o del turismo como campos de estudio, vinculados a diferentes universidades españolas. Considerando la interfaz entre el ocio y el turismo, ningún investigador entiende que son distintos e independientes, tampoco que el turismo es más amplio e incluye el ocio. La mitad de los investigadores afirma que el ocio es más amplio e incluye el turismo, y 15 personas consideran que los dos fenómenos están articulados y presentan puntos de intersección. Los investigadores españoles que participaron en la investigación, así como el estudio bibliográfico, tienden a considerar el ocio como un campo más amplio, y el turismo como una de las modalidades de vivenciarlo.Os variados entendimentos quanto a interface lazer e turismo decorrem da escassez de investigações científicas que aprofundem as relações entre ambos. Essa situação instigou o interesse em investigar como essa questão é tratada na Espanha. Assim, o presente artigo buscou compreender os significados e as relações entre o turismo e o lazer segundo o ponto de vista de pesquisadores espanhóis. A metodologia envolveu um estudo bibliográfico e aplicação de questionário com 32 pesquisadores inseridos no lazer e/ou turismo como campos de estudo, vinculados a diferentes universidades espanholas. Considerando a interface entre o lazer e o turismo, nenhum pesquisador entende que eles são distintos e independentes, ou que o turismo é mais amplo e inclui o lazer. Metade dos investigadores afirma que o lazer é mais amplo e inclui o turismo, e 15 pessoas consideram que os dois fenômenos estão articulados e apresentam pontos de interseção.
