Resumo: The entrance to the gaze of space from the field of leisure and recreation gives some peculiarities that do not contain other spaces - times in the daily life of the subjects. The spaces of leisure, are possible by the existence of the subject in them; it is men and women who in their different moments of their lives give a meaning, a place and a content to those spaces. A critical look at leisure spaces, is made from three categories, political, conceptual and methodological, having as transversal axis to humans and posing some criteria that can contribute to broaden the look into space.

Los espacios de ocio, son posibles por la existencia del sujeto en ellos; son los hombres y las mujeres quienes en sus diferentes momentos de sus vidas le dan un significado, un lugar y un contenido a dichos espacios. Una mirada crítica a los espacios de ocio se hace desde tres categorías, la política, la conceptual y la metodológica, teniendo como eje transversal a los seres humanos y planteando algunos criterios que pueden contribuir a ampliar la mirada al espacio.A entrada para a mirada do espaço desde o campo do lazer e da recreação lhe dá algumas particularidades que não contém os outros espaços-tempos da vida cotidiana dos sujeitos. Os espaços de lazer são possíveis pela existência dos sujeitos neles; são os homens e as mulheres que nos seus diferentes momentos de suas vidas dão um significado, um lugar e um conteúdo para referidos espaços.
