SHOPPING CENTER AS LOUNGE AREA: THE CASE OF COURTYARD BELÉM

Resumo: Considering the importance of the shopping mall acquired in today's society, assuming the function that had public spaces such as streets and squares, including leisure activities practices, the central objective of this study is to analyze the uses of malls as social spaces for leisure , from a case study in the mall Patio Belem in Belém, Pará, seeking to identify the leisure activities carried out by different actors and understand the processes of planning and leisure management in this environment. The relationship between leisure and consumption to the space as a place of social relations. The methodology consisted of literature for the construction of the theoretical framework that embasou the desired study. We used interview with the public goer Pátio Belém, with project participants "Active Age" and interview with the space manager. So, are exposed the main points of the relationship constantly evidenced in research on leisure, which deal systematically with its similarity to the social changes that emerge in today's society. Having the shopping mall, as one of the areas where it is apparent that social relations are basically measured by consumption and the search for places where leisure is found safely and comfortably.

Having the shopping mall, as one of the areas where it is apparent that social relations are basically measured by consumption and the search for places where leisure is found safely and comfortably.Teniendo en cuenta la importancia de los centros comerciales adquiridas en la sociedad actual, asumiendo la función que tenía espacios públicos, como calles y plazas, incluyendo las prácticas de actividades de ocio, el objetivo central de este estudio es analizar los usos de los centros comerciales como espacios sociales ocio, a partir de un estudio de caso en el centro comercial Patio Belém en Belém-PA, buscando identificar las actividades de ocio realizadas por diferentes actores y comprender los procesos de planificación y gestión de ocio en esto. La metodología consistió en la literatura para la construcción del marco teórico, que se basa el estudio previsto. Se utilizó una entrevista con el aficionado al público de Pátio Belém, con los participantes en el proyecto "Active Edad" y entrevista con el gestor de espacio. Así que están expuestos los puntos principales de la relación constante de manifiesto en la investigación sobre el ocio, que cubren sistemáticamente su similitud con los cambios sociales que emergen en la sociedad actual. Tener el centro comercial como una de las áreas en las que es evidente que las relaciones sociales se miden principalmente por el consumidor y la búsqueda de lugares donde el ocio se encuentra en condiciones de seguridad y comodidad.Considerando a importância que os shoppings centers adquirem na sociedade atual, assumindo a função que tinham espaços públicos como ruas e praças, inclusive para práticas de atividades de lazer, o objetivo central do presente trabalho é analisar os usos dos shoppings centers como espaços sociais de lazer, a partir de um estudo de caso no shopping center Pátio Belém, em Belém-PA, procurando identificar as práticas de lazer realizadas pelos diferentes agentes sociais e compreender os processos de planejamento e gestão do lazer nesse ambiente. A metodologia foi composta de pesquisa bibliográfica para a construção do arcabouço teórico, que embasou o estudo pretendido. Utilizou-se entrevista com o público frequentador do Pátio Belém, com os participantes do projeto “Ativa Idade” e entrevista com o gestor do espaço. Assim, expõem-se os principais pontos da relação constantemente evidenciada nas pesquisas sobre o lazer, no qual abordam de forma sistemática a sua semelhança com as transformações sociais que emergem na sociedade atual.
