“FLESH AND BONE”: WORK IN FRIGORIFIC UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF TOYOTISM

The documentary "Carne e Osso" brings the routine of workers in slaughterhouses in Brazil. In this review, relations are made with the definitions of fragmented work, and requirements of accelerated rhythm of productivity and quality of work, making notes with the look of the Psychodynamics of Work. Would the rationalization of the contemporary work organization be guided by a Toyotista management model, triggering feelings of fear and threat? The notion of health is the center of the debate, due to constant presence of suffering in this scenario, such as: exhaustive journey, degrading conditions and restriction of freedom. There is, according to this perspective, a clear crushing of the subject who wishes to work, but lives the obligation to serve for survival. It is concluded that the fragmentation of labor and demands of a fast pace of productivity as a consequence of the model imposed by capitalism contribute to the sickness of these workers in their economic activities of guaranteeing employment and income.
