O objetivo do artigo é verificar a criação dos Institutos Federais de Educação Profissional, Ciência e Tecnologia, nos seus aspectos legais, no contexto das novas formas de trabalho e produção. Entendo que essa criação pode ser uma possível resposta, em forma de políticas educacionais de governo, às novas formas de organização e trabalho, tendo em vista o desenvolvimento econômico local. A organização do texto está constituída por duas ordens de situações: a socioeconômica e a legislativo-histórica. Na primeira ordem é possível identificar que, nas últimas décadas, elementos centrais no processo de reorganização/reestruturação produtiva que demonstram como esse processo vem afetando, metamorfoseando e transformando o mundo do trabalho no Brasil. A segunda ordem se desenvolve no contexto conjuntural em que foi efetivada a implantação dos Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia. O procedimento metodológico para a construção do texto foi o histórico-analítico, por meio da pesquisa bibliográfica e documental descritiva. ___The arcticle aims to verify the creation of the Federal Institutes of Professional Education, Science and Technology, in its legal aspects, in the context of new forms of work and production. I understand that this creation can be a possible answer in the form of government educational policies, the new forms of organization and work with a view to local economic development. The organization of the text is made of two situations orders: the socio-economic and legislative-historical. In the first order is possible to identify that in recent decades, key elements in the process of productive reorganization/restructuring that demonstrate how this process is affecting, morphing and changing the world of work in Brazil. The second order develops in the cyclical context in which it was carried out the implementation of the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology. The methodological procedure for the construction of the text was the historical-analytical, using documentary descriptive and bibliographical research.
