Escola Viva: implementation of the interests of the power block in the state of Espírito Santo

This article aims to analyze how the construction of the educational project, called “Escola Viva” (early form of high school reform still in 2015) with a privatist and managerial bias is articulated with the interests and methods of certain fractions of class. For the analysis, a qualitative approach was used, with documentary research of articles and dissertations that bring the theme and discourse analysis of entities and personalities involved in the process of implementing educational reforms. We identified in the entity organized by the business movement, called “Espírito Santo em Ação”, a private device of hegemony that represents both the space of cohesion and the production of the bloc in power in the state. Since 2003, two governors (Paulo Hartung and Renato Casagrande) have taken turns, each in their own way, in leading the construction of educational policies that articulate with this bloc in power, consolidating their cohesion and viability.
