Resumo: With the ease of insertion in higher education, the increase in the number of professionals trained for the job market was corroborated. This study aims to identify which factors led these professionals to seek other professions different of their backgrounds. A study was carried out through an online questionnaire, 56 people participated in the survey, 64.3% of whom were female and 35.7% male, with an average age of 31 years, who have higher education, but do not exercise their real profession. The results obtained show that factors such as competitiveness, unemployment, lack of opportunities, lack of experience and need for remuneration are the main obstacles encountered in not working in their area of training, in addition to a large increase in qualified professionals working in the area of telemarketing.
