On resistances to psychoanalysis: a stalemate that crosses the university

Resumo: Freud, when giving lectures at the university, sometimes faced reactions of repudiation of his ideas, both from colleagues, and from the general public. This he termed “resistance”. In the university courses of Psychology, where the first contact with psychoanalysis is a recurrent question, resistance can be observed frequently. Freud maintains at last that in the university the student could learn something from and about psychoanalysis, but never psychoanalysis itself. Thus, Lacan indicates that it is necessary to put something of itself to be involved in the transmission of psychoanalytic knowledge, without neglecting to warn about the impossibility regarding the formation of analysts in the university. In this way, this work tries to explore the resistance that the psychoanalysis faces in the university, as well as to address an issue that must always be considered: the transferential relationship between teacher-student, concerning the issue of the transmission of psychoanalysis, a possible solution for such resistance.

A isso, ele denominou “resistência”. Nos cursos universitários de Psicologia, nos quais o primeiro contato com a psicanálise é questão recorrente, a resistência pode ser observada com frequência. Freud sustenta afinal que, na universidade, o estudante poderia aprender algo a partir da e sobre a psicanálise, mas jamais a psicanálise em si. Assim, Lacan indica que é preciso colocar algo de si para se implicar na transmissão do saber psicanalítico, sem deixar de advertir sobre a impossibilidade referente à formação de analistas na universidade.
