Higher education and remote teaching: experience reports in a private higher education institution

Resumo: The present article reports the experience of three teachers: one of exact disciplines, one of human disciplines and the third, in both areas. All the teachers went through the transition from classroom to remote education, due to the pandemic, in a private higher education institution. The objective was to report the experience mediated by digital information and communication technologies and to describe the extent to which the change caused by remote education has impacted on pedagogical practice, communication and the relationships between peers during this process. Under a theoretical perspective, topics such as cyberculture, teacher training in higher education and narrative research were addressed. We believe that the pandemic has brought singular changes and that the appropriation of certain digital technologies has become vital for remote education, corroborating the contemporary reality of digital culture.

El objetivo fue dar a conocer la experiencia mediada por las tecnologías digitales de la información y la comunicación y describir en qué medida el cambio provocado por la oferta de enseñanza remota impactó la práctica pedagógica, las comunicaciones y las relaciones entre pares durante ese proceso. Bajo una perspectiva teórica, se abordaron temas como la cibercultura, la formación de profesores de educación superior y la investigación narrativa. Consideramos que la pandemia ha proporcionado cambios singulares y que la apropiación de determinadas tecnologías digitales se ha vuelto vital para la enseñanza remota, corroborando la realidad contemporánea de la cultura digital.O presente artigo relata a experiência de três professores: um de exatas, outro de humanas e o terceiro, em ambas as áreas, os quais passaram pela transição do ensino presencial para o remoto, devido à pandemia, em uma instituição de ensino superior privada. O objetivo foi relatar a vivência mediada pelas tecnologias digitais de informação e comunicação e descrever em que medida a mudança provocada pela oferta do ensino remoto impactou a prática pedagógica, as comunicações e as relações entre os pares durante esse processo. Sob um viés teórico, foram abordadas temáticas como cibercultura, formação do docente do ensino superior e pesquisa narrativa.
