Resumo: The practical class is a moment of experience, not just illustration of the theoretical class. It is an opportunity to deal with reality and give meaning to learning. The student is the central element of this process, since he/she is the subject that must analyze, compare, propose or question. In this sense, the problem-solving methodologies are useful in approaching the student with the professional practice, among them Problem-Based Learning combined with Evidence-Based Medicine. This essay sought to analyze, from the bibliography consulted, the importance of the practical training of graduates and to present Problem-Based Learning as an alternative of active teaching methodology and Evidence-Based Medicine as a critical approach to the scientific knowledge produced.

Uma oportunidade de lidar com a realidade e dar significado à aprendizagem. O aluno é o elemento central desse processo, pois ele é o sujeito que precisa analisar, comparar, propor ou questionar. Nesse sentido, as metodologias problematizadoras são úteis na aproximação do estudante com a prática profissional, entre elas a Aprendizagem Baseada em Problemas combinada com a Medicina Baseada em Evidências.
