An immersion in the rural reality as a teaching methodology: the "Life in Family Agriculture" discipline experience

Resumo: | The article aims to present the experience of "Life in Family Agriculture”, a curricular discipline of the Agronomy undergraduate course from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, and to characterize the immersion in rural reality as a teaching methodology. It is part of the analytical perspective which considers theory and practice as inseparable parts in the teaching-learning process and has as empirical basis the qualitative data captured during the collective evaluation processes on the field stage of the discipline. As a main result, it is revealed that immersion in rural reality produces multiple learnings, some even beyond the objectives of the discipline, with the relationship between theory and practice triggering reflective processes on the action and the effective role of the future agronomists. |

Es parte de la perspectiva analítica que considera la teoría y la práctica con construcciones inseparables en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje y tiene como base empírica los datos cualitativos capturados durante los procesos de evaluación colectiva de la etapa de campo del curso. Como resultado principal, se revela que la inmersión en la realidad rural produce múltiples aprendizajes, algunos más allá de los objetivos del curso, con la relación entre la teoría y la práctica que desencadena procesos reflexivos sobre la acción y el papel efectivo de los futuros ingenieros agrónomos.O artigo tem como objetivo apresentar a experiência da Vivência em Agricultura Familiar, disciplina curricular obrigatória do curso de graduação em Agronomia da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, e caracterizar a imersão na realidade social rural enquanto metodologia de ensino. Insere-se na perspectiva analítica que considera teoria e prática como construtos inseparáveis no processo de ensino e aprendizagem e tem como base empírica os dados qualitativos coletados durante os processos coletivos de avaliação da etapa de campo da disciplina.
