Teaching urban green heritage to university students through the construction of phytogeographic paths

Resumo: Green spaces and wooded alignment constitute the green infrastructure of cities. The objective of the work is to make a proposal on the teaching of green tree heritage through phytogeographic paths in the city of Bahía Blanca (Argentina). It is intended for university students of the Faculty and Degree in Geography. It seeks to promote the ability to analyze the tree object to approach it from a visual practice. For this, a methodology was applied that consists on a reflexive framework that demonstrates what is taught, the identification and interpretation of the characteristics of the trees representing other biomes and the proper elaboration of the phytogeographic paths based on a defined criterion. In this way, students could develop a virtual practice, during the pandemic period, that will allow them to redefine everyday space and that will become the starting point to study plant formations on a local scale.

El objetivo del trabajo es realizar una propuesta sobre la enseñanza del patrimonio verde arbóreo a través de sendas fitogeográficas en la ciudad de Bahía Blanca (Argentina). Está destinada a estudiantes universitarios de las carreras del profesorado y licenciatura en Geografía. Se busca fomentar la capacidad de análisis sobre el objeto árbol para abordarlo desde una práctica visual. Para ello se aplicó una metodología que consiste en determinar un encuadre reflexivo que demuestre qué se quiere enseñar, la identificación e interpretación de las características de los árboles representantes de otros biomas y la elaboración de las sendas fitogeográficas basadas en un criterio definido. De esta forma, los estudiantes pueden desarrollar una práctica virtual, durante el período de pandemia, que les permitirá resignificar el espacio cotidiano y que se convertirá en el puntapié inicial para estudiar las formaciones vegetales en la escala local.Os espaços verdes e o alinhamento arborizado constituem a infraestrutura verde das cidades. O objetivo do trabalho é fazer uma proposta sobre o ensino do patrimônio arbóreo verde por meio de caminhos fitogeográficos na cidade de Bahía Blanca (Argentina). É destinado a estudantes universitários de licenciatura da Faculdade de Geografia. Busca promover a capacidade de analisar o objeto árvore para abordá-lo a partir de uma prática visual. Para isso, foi aplicada uma metodologia que consiste em determinar o quadro reflexivo que demonstra o que se ensina, a identificação e interpretação das características das árvores representativas de outros biomas e a adequada elaboração dos caminhos fitogeográficos a partir de um critério definido.
