Resumo: This study had the objective of examining the understanding healthcare workers have about the effect of everyday violence on the work at a healthcare clinic. Data was collected using a semi-structured interview with members of the family and health team and were then processed by discourse analysis. With the Family Health Program, health workers come close to the violence in the communities, mainly in home visits. Violence makes explicit the relations of force in the community, making it difficult to create bonds and limiting the scope of action of the workers.

Los datos han sido colectados con entrevistas semiestructuradas a miembros del equipo de salud de la familia y sometidos al análisis del discurso. A partir de la creación del Programa de Salud de la Familia, los profesionales se han acercado a las situaciones de violencia en las comunidades, principalmente con las visitas a domicilio. La violencia explicita las relaciones de fuerza de la comunidad, complica la formación de vínculos y limita el campo de actuación de los profesionales.Esse estudo teve como objetivo compreender a percepção dos profissionais de saúde sobre os reflexos da violência cotidiana no trabalho de uma Unidade Básica de Saúde. Os dados foram coletados através de entrevista semi-estruturada com membros da equipe de saúde da família e submetidos à análise de discurso. A partir da criação do Programa de Saúde da Família, os profissionais se aproximam das situações de violência nas comunidades, principalmente nas visitas domiciliares.
