Resumo: The subject of this text is to show some events, happenings and aspects related to the history of the School of Nursing of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, that is celebrating its seventieth anniversary in 2003. It is divided in two large periods: one, from the creation of the school, in 1933, until 1968, and the other, from 1968 to the present days.

La trayectoria se divide en dos grandes etapas: la primera, desde la creación de la escuela en 1933, hasta 1968 y la segunda, desde 1968 hasta la fecha.O objetivo deste texto é apresentar alguns eventos, acontecimentos e aspectos relativos à trajetória da Escola de Enfermagem da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais que completa setenta anos de existência, no ano de 2003.
