Resumo: | The study was aimed at knowing the views of pregnant women and nurses about prenatal care in basic health care. Exploratory and descriptive research conducted with 11 nurses included in the IV Regional Executive Secretary of Fortaleza - CE and 18 pregnant women attending these services. Nurses consider a quality prenatal care with health education, comprehensive care for pregnant women, a minimum of six consultations, reference and counter-reference system and teamwork. The obstacles faced by health professionals were: delay in the exam results, absence of reference and counter-reference system, absence of material resources, limitation of the test ordering nurses and lack of teamwork. In the design of pregnant women, a prenatal care quality is characterized by technological resources, comprehensive care, nursing care and attendance. As for women's satisfaction with nursing care in prenatal, there is dissatisfaction with the lack of reference and counter-reference and lack of information. Professionals should work in addition to technological aspects, through the humanistic aspects of comprehensive care for pregnant women. The use of listening is an excellent resource to learn what the needs of each woman, and thus give relevant information and care. |
