Interest and professional satisfaction of workers in Family Health Program teams in the northwest of the state of São Paulo

Resumo: | This work intends to identify issues related to the interest, satisfaction and motivation of workers in teams of the Family Health Program, showing the importance of these factors for public health management in Brazil. The research, which is qualitative and quantitative, used semi-structuredinterviews; the data gathered showed ahigh level ofwork satisfactionfor auxiliaries (nursing auxiliaries and community health agents, 75% and 68.4%, respectively), in spite of the low salaries. Among higher education workers, there were dental surgeons, with a high level of dissatisfaction (83.3%) and the physicians, mostly satisfied (71.4%). We conclude that most of the workers showed interest in the program. The importance of recognizing subjective factors is also significant to optimize the dynamics of health work. |

The importance of recognizing subjective factors is also significant to optimize the dynamics of health work.Este trabajo plantea cuestiones relacionadas al interés, satisfacción y motivación de profesionales que integran equipos del Programa Salud de la Familia, con miras a mostrar la importancia de tales factores en la gestión de la salud pública en Brasil. La investigación, de naturaleza cualitativa y cuantitativa, se llevó a cabo con encuestas y un guión semiestructurado Los datos obtenidos enseñan elevado grado de satisfacción laboral en auxiliares de enfermería y agentes comunitarios de salud, con el 75% y el 68,4% respectivamente, a pesar de las bajas remuneraciones salariales. Entre los profesionales de nivel superior se destacan los dentistas con elevado grado de satisfacción (83,3%) y la clase médica, en su gran mayoría, satisfecha (71,4%). Se concluyó que la mayoría de los profesionales tienen interés y afinidades con el Programa, a pesar del grado de insatisfacción mencionado por algunas categorías.Com este trabalho, objetiva-se identificar questões relacionadas ao interesse, à satisfação e à motivação de profissionais que integram equipes do Programa Saúde da Família (PSF), apontando a importância desses fatores para o exercício da gestão em saúde pública no Brasil. Na pesquisa, de natureza qualiquantitativa, utilizou-se entrevista com roteiro semi-estruturado. Os dados obtidos mostram elevado grau de satisfação no trabalho em categorias de nível auxiliar (auxiliares de enfermagem e agentes comunitárias de saúde, com 75% e 68,4%, respectivamente), apesar da baixa remuneração salarial. Entre os profissionais de nível superior, destacam-se os cirurgiões-dentistas, com elevado grau de insatisfação (83,3%), e a classe médica, também, na sua maioria, satisfeita (71,4%). Concluiu-se que a maioria dos profissionais demonstrou interesse pelo Programa.
