Relevance of bioethics for the nurse's education to assist chronically ill adolescents

Resumo: This is a descriptive study discussing bioethics in nurses' education as a recommendation for adolescent care, carried out based on practice through the adolescent health program (PROSAD), in the town of the Olinda, in Pernambuco, Brazil. The study used a non-systematic literature review. The outcome showed that there is a need for strengthening the humanitarian focus related to nursing education and giving more value to interdisciplinarity. In relation to nursing care it would be desirable that adolescents be recognized as autonomous and assisted through holistic and special care. Therefore, a systematic process with full interaction and participation of adolescents should be build up.

Therefore, a systematic process with full interaction and participation of adolescents should be build up.El presente un estudio se basa en la práctica del programa de salud del adolescente (Prosad), llevado a cabo en la ciudad de Olinda, Pernambuco. Su objetivo fue discutir la bioética en la formación del enfermo como recomendación para la asistencia al adolescente enfermo. El estudio incluyó una revisión no-sistemática de la literatura. Como conclusión se indica la necesidad de fortalecer el enfoque humanista en la enseñanza de enfermería y de otorgarle más valor a la interdisciplinariedad. En cuanto a la atención de enfermería, el objetivo es considerar al adolescente como persona autónoma y brindarle atención holística especial. Por lo tanto, habría que construir un proceso sistemático de interacción con participación de los adolescentes.Trata-se de estudo baseado na prática do programa de saúde do adolescente (Prosad), na cidade de Olinda, Pernambuco, com o objetivo de discutir a bioética na formação do enfermeiro como recomendação para a assistência ao adolescente enfermo. Utilizou-se uma revisão não sistemática da literatura. O resultado demonstrou a necessidade de aumentar o enfoque humanista no ensino de enfermagem, valorando a interdisciplinaridade. Com relação à assistência de enfermagem, o objetivo era que o adolescente fosse reconhecido como pessoa autônoma e recebesse assistência holística especial.
