Resumo: This is a report of an experience, where the author describes her dificulties in accomplish her role of being a mother, up to now dreamed up with perfection. She also describes her child,s behaviour in the first months of life, many times unrestless, suggesting a possible relation between this behaviour and the high anxiety level of the mother during this period of time.

Es descrito, también, el comportamiento de su hija en los primeros meses de vida, muchas veces intranquilo, sugerindo una posible relación de esta intranquilidad con su elevado grado de ansiedad materna, en este período de tiempo.Trata-se de um relato de experiência onde a autora descreve suas dificuldades em desempenhar seu novo papel, ou seja, de mãe, até então idealizado como perfeito.
