Resumo: This study reports the experience of the Tutorial and Educational Program students of the Federal University of Santa Maria as workshop instructors in teenage groups enrolled in the Project "Becoming Adolescent: growing and living". The workshop development was based in Participatory Methods. 19 play therapy and pedagogical workshops were organized in secondary schools during 2008 in the city of Santa Maria-RS. The participants were adolescents of both sexes between 12 and 15 years of age. The workshops helped the graduate students to create an open space for dialogue with the young people; it encouraged their commitment to the supervision of the group, it broadened their knowledge about adolescence and about participatory methods. In addition it assisted the graduate students to overcome challenges such as the lack of experience in performing group work during the graduation course, it helped them to appreciate the significance of all stages of group activities; and it highlighted the relevance of speech adjustments to the group context

Los talleres se basaron en la Metodología Participativa. Fueron realizados 19 talleres lúdico pedagógicos durante 2008 en escuelas de enseñanza fundamental de la ciudad de Santa María - R.S. con adolescentes de los dos sexos con entre doce y quince años. Los talleres brindaron la oportunidad a los alumnos de Enfermería de crear un espacio de diálogo, asumir el compromiso de orientar el trabajo en grupo y de ahondar en los conocimientos referentes a la adolescencia y a la metodología participativa. La experiencia los ayudó a superar algunos retos tales como la carencia durante el curso de grado para realizar trabajos con grupos, comprender la importancia de todas las etapas de las actividades grupales y saber adaptar el lenguaje al contexto del grupoNeste estudo, apresenta-se um relato de experiência sobre a vivência dos acadêmicos do Programa de Educação Tutorial do Curso de Enfermagem da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria-RS como oficineiros de grupos de adolescentes no projeto Adolescer: crescer e viver. Foi adotado como método o desenvolvimento de oficinas, alicerçadas na Metodologia Participativa. Foram realizadas 19 oficinas lúdico-pedagógicas em 2008, em escolas de ensino fundamental do município de Santa Maria-RS, com adolescentes de ambos os sexos e idade entre 12 e 15 anos. As oficinas oportunizaram a criação de um espaço dialógico, o comprometimento no direcionamento de trabalho em grupo e o aprofundamento dos conhecimentos sobre a adolescência e a metodologia participativa.
