A nurse's relationship of help with a women in pre-mastectomy

Resumo: This article intends to analyze a non-directed interaction using a relationship of help as a technique. This occurred in the Hospital das Clínicas/FMRP with patient N., 56t years old, married. The interview was written out, discussed and analyzed. The data showed four categories. The results show that the nurse received the concerns expressed by the patient, showing interest and a willingness to help her and her non-directed actions made it possible for the patient to speak about her concerns, relieving her tension, in spite of the proximity of finitude. Instead of presenting ready formulas, she was open, respectful and understanding, helping the patient to continue in her fight for life.

La interacción ocurrió en el Hospital de Clínicas/FMRP con la paciente N., de 56 años. La entrevista fue transcrita, discutida y analizada. Los datos revelaran cuatro categorías temáticas. Los resultados indican que la enfermera consideró las preocupaciones de la paciente, expresó interés y disposición para ayudarla y que las acciones no directivas le permitieron a la paciente hablar de sus inquietudes y aliviar la tensión provocada por la proximidad de la muerte. En lugar de dar respuestas rápidas y elaboradas, la actitud de la enfermera fue de hospitalidad, respeto y comprensión, ayudando a la paciente a seguir luchando por su vida.Objetivou-se com este artigo analisar uma interação não diretiva, utilizando a Relação de Ajuda como técnica. A interação ocorreu no Hospital das Clínicas/FMRP com a paciente N., 56 anos, casada. A entrevista foi transcrita, discutida e analisada. Os dados revelaram quatro categorias temáticas. Os resultados indicam que a enfermeira acolheu as preocupações expressas pela paciente, mostrando interesse e disposição para ajudá-la, e suas ações não diretivas permitiram que a paciente falasse sobre suas preocupações, aliviando sua tensão apesar da proximidade da finitude.
